CHIMNEY WATERPROOFING

The hard outer shell that is added on to waterproof the brick eventually weakens overtime from constant exposure to heat, cold, wind and rain. Gradually, water will start to seep through, penetrating the flue and causing damage to other chimney components. Needless to say, you should always waterproof your chimney every few years. We use a water based, clear sealer so that you cannot tell anything has been applied. Other contractors will used oil based or solvent based sealers that can ruin the look of the chimney.
